I love turtles,we have several in our pond and this is a wonderful photo! Very well focused with beautiful color saturation.And you got that excellent reflection! Nice adjustments for the bright day,especially on the shell. A wonderful contest entry,I wish you all the best!

A beautiful picture of this painted Turtle resting on a fallen branch in the waterway with the sun shining on it's glossy shell & head the reflections on the glass like surface of the water that also reflects the blue sky above on it's ripples. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & razor sharp focus.

A wonderful photo, and the reflection is a bonus! I've never seen a turtle shell like this. The red edging is to pretty. Despite the busy (but natural) background, your turtle pops out. Very nice!

This is an artwork of nature. The turtle got its name rightly. The colors and textures of its shell and the leathery skin look indeed painted. The photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The turtle is perfectly sharp. The reflections are intriguing. The background shows the environment nicely, but is unobtrusive. The animal is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
