Excellent portrait of your pigeon done with coloured pencils. You've shown the different textures of the feathers, beak and eye and basket very well. I like the natural colours you used for this. Very good light and shade. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

The textures of the feather of head, chest and wings and the soft downs below and the egg are well distinct from each other, and nesting materials and the protective bowl. The tight framing is adequate for this close-up portrait. You paid excellent attention to exact detail, perspective and proportion. You drawing is informative and attract the interest of the viewer.

There are indeed a lot of textures to be found within the drawing. The textures of the feather of head, chest and wings and the soft downs below and the egg are well distinct from each other, and nesting materials and the protective bowl. The tight framing is adequate for this close-up portrait. You paid excellent attention to exact detail, perspective and proportion. You drawing is informative and attract the interest of the viewer.

The detail of the feathers is incredible but not just that but the nest and background having colors that are so similar to the bird but yet your detail is so perfect there is no way the viewer would confuse them. I am impressed. Color, shading, and composition are all perfect

I just don't understand how artists can make something look so real when they paint! It looks just like a photo! I wish I could do that. I will say I have never seen a pigeon this color. The pigeons I see are mostly gray. It looks like she is setting on an egg. Birds are such good mothers. Good luck in the contest!
