I have never seen a pigeon like this before, but it just looks fantastic With the curly feathers on its back. The background is perhaps not the best, but the bird is posing for you in such a lovely way, and you have pictured it so well.
The photo is Sharp showing such Clear and well defined details in every part of the pigeon, and also the exposure is fine.
The format and framing is working well, and the bird is well placed in the photo. An all together lovely, interesting and well taken photo Lucien.

Annie,
Good morning.
I wanted the background so people would know it is a real bird and not one I messed with/adjusted in a computer program.
Thank you once again for your time and comments on my photo.
I used to fly racing pigeons, or racing homers and they are one of my favorite breeds. Most of my artwork in, "events in the daily life of a pigeon" use them as the subject matter.
Have a great day.
Take care, cheers,
Lucien

You are most welcome Lucien, and now I understand why you have this special interest in pigeons.

I really liked the way that you have explained the different kinds of pigeons, and I would have never guessed that they are that many kinds of these birds. I like the curls and the focus is right on cue. I will be looking for the other ones that you have mentioned. It is really nice to learn about things that you would never dream of. Thanks for the information, have a great day. Jack

Jack,
Good morning,
Thank you once again for your time and comments on my photo, they are appreciated.
The cage had to be there to show where the shot was taken and then it helps verify the story of the pigeon show and at this one there were 7000 various breed on display. I will post some more breed in the near future.
Take care. Be safe,
cheers.

Such nice pigeon in the cage or at least it looks like one + he is questioning his containment . Beautiful colors and details. Great presentation and overall image. Thank you for sharing!

Oh my!
This is such a unique bird!
It looks like its wearing a mushroom or mushrooms!
Who knew there were so many kinds of pigeons!!
Not the prettiest of back grounds, but still a nice shot!

Quite a remarkable pigeon. I wonder if those curled feathers restrict his flight. A nice image with great detail in the plumage and good colors.

When I first saw this picture my first reaction was "What in the world is that"? I have never seen anything ;like this.
It certainly did take many generations of selective breeding to produce this beauty. It is simply amazing.
Thank you for sharing these wonderous birds Lucien. Please keep posting more ~ Steve
