What a great find! I can't even imagine coming upon a turtle!
This one looks like one my uncle brought for me to see when I was in Connecticut.
Well focused , this image is clear, exposure is good, the colors and tones appear natural, well composed allowing a good sense of this location. Well presented!

A remarkable find and an excellent shot. You can see from the mass of the head and the tail that he is good sized. A sharp image with great colors.

The shell of the Turtle seems covered with mud, but the body looks clean. The photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and the refinement of detail. The warts at the throat and the nails on the claw of the Turtle are especial interesting. The movement of the animal is intriguing. The Turtle seems to be going after something, perhaps food in sight or a bath in the creek. The photo is adequately framed. The composition is balanced.

Thank you so much Cleo! I think he was headed to the creek because a couple minutes after I took this photo he went into the creek and swam away.

Quite a nice nature shot posted here! Your fine and central composition grants us an enjoyable view of your turtle. It looks pretty happy in its preserve. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!

That is a Snapping Turtle. It is not an Alligator Snapper which grows even bigger. The smooth shell shows this one to be a regular Snapper.
Great scene here with nice details and placement of the turtle in the frame. Good one Barbara ~ Steve

This is a rare breed.....
It doesn't look like the ordinary turtles I've seen around here in the Philippines...
He must be more than 10 years old judging from the antiquated shell he has.
We can still crop a bit of the lower negative marginal space.
It's also better if there's more space in front for prespective of directional movement .
Natural setting...
Subtle lighting...
Thanks for sharing...

Judging by the tail it looks like a
Snapping Turtle.
Nice profile capture showing nice clarity and details on this big boy. I like the green of the leaves adding a splash of color.
Nice work Barbara ;)
