I like the very determined looking expression this guy has on his face. He definitely appears to be on a mission. I think the spectating squirrel in the background is cute too.

Bet he thinks he's gonna be home free, something tells me he won't-lol! Definitely a lot of detailing in this piece, the seeds in the feeder, brickwork in the house, leaves in the shrubs, wow, must have taken you a bit off time! Love the determined look on this squirrel's face,as the other one in the tree looks on with concern. Reminds me of the bushy tailed tree rats that we have here, always trying to find a way to get to the feeder. Can't wait to see what happens next;best wishes to you inn the contest!

I think I can. I have several animals, besides birds, that like to eat from my bird feeder. How do you get things so straight? The bricks on that building on the back look as though a brick mason laid them. You art amazes me!

Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened."We patronize the animals for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they are more finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other Nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth. The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for white, or women created for men."An animal's eyes have the power to speak a great language.Animals are such agreeable friends--they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms. Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections, predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal. Difficult standards for people to live up to.

Mark,
A beautiful picture of this Squirrel running across the top of the fence from tree to tree in which it can hide in safety & hopefully find food. Created by your Artist's eye for composition very skilful draftsmsnship beautiful choice blending & application of your colours in bringing this scene to life.

The squirrel is definitely on a mission, and the little squirrel in the tree waits anxiously for a treat as well. This keeps the mind going to keep the theme of the painting going forward. Love it and love squirrels except when they are in my roof playing with the walnuts. Sound like a bowling alley up there.

My dearest MK, there is a story behind this. I am believing that it is truly wonderful, as are all of your stories. I am amazed with the finite details in the bricks, but especially the leaves. I am curious to know how long it takes you to finish something so intricate.
