Wow how awesome to see these snakes in their natural environment and at mating time too - good texture shown and the lighting and color are well handled. Focus is sharp.

Looks like and sounds like you did a fair bit of work to get this fine nature shot! Hope you were not exposing yourself to any dangers? Those coils are amazing! Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

No. I'm not a snake expert, but know there aren't any poisonous snakes where I am. I still am careful though. :o)

before reading your notes, I thought you discovered a snake longer than an Anaconda; lol; a great find and excellent capture with sharp details;

LOL!!! Hi Super, I thought your reaction would be similar to everyone who saw the shot. That's why I thought it would be a good idea to mention there were more than one snake in this image. I'm glad it got your attention though. Thanks for the great review My Friend! :o) Nancy

A nicely composed shot with beautiful detail in the head. I guess if this was just one snake it would have to be twenty feet long. Great undulating forms and beautiful colors.

LOL It was five snakes all together, 4 courting males and one female. In this shot I just wanted to go for the coils and the females head. Thanks for the great review!

Interesting capture. . The angle of the shot of this curled up snake is great. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

This is interesting. It looks like one snake unusually curled up. The photo is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. The colors are realistic. The emboss filter brings the detail of the snake skin and the head especial well out. The head of the female is perfect placed within the frame.
The composition is balanced.
I think you posted another brilliant photo of this snake some time ago, but without the males.

YEAH,Nancy!
That's my kind of creature all right!
( Serpents literally FASCINATE me! )
Your photograph of this coiling female ( who looks like she might be 'in the mood' to form a mating Bolus with several male specimens ) looks Great,my friend!

A nice presentation of this snake ,or should I say, the 4 snakes ! The composition is well structured with the head centre to the frame and the image beautifully sharp throughout
