the bird says "i learned my lesson last time someone came behind me when i wasnt sitting down!" wink..lol..cool capture. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this bird from behind is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Fred this is a real classic there is absolutely nothing wrong with this, the light on the heron make it pop and leap out from the page as does the mush darker backdrop, perfect composition with the heron on the left looking into the rest of the image, has to a virtue 6 stars I am afraid!

Beautifully captured Fred! Nice placement in the frame leaving plenty of room for him to look or move into, well focused, this image is sharp and clear, feathers are very well defined, nice clear detail in face and bill, especially appreciate that clear eye! He has such an alert expression! Exposure is correct for all colors, he is standing out nicely from the surroundings. Well composed and presented!
