Oh does this one hit the heart. You nailed it. Its so painfully true. Not only have you created a perfect image, you yanked out our emotions with this one. Excellent work. Hoping to see that hug soon. Please let me know when we get there so I can view it.

Sadly this never placed anywhere in the contest.. however, this time of season I figured I would bring it back out expressing how painful it is not to hold or even be with our loved ones. Thanks for honoring this with your thoughts and the high rating(thumbs up)

True I like to make folks laugh in my cartoons and music videos. However I do like to pull other healthy emotions from the viewer. Just showing folks what old dog can do with these sharpie and Bic pens..wink. thanks for the awesome review

That is the way I feel. I have 5 grandchildren and am not near any of them. I have the gray hair, but the rest of the body is more voluptuous than mine. Great portrayal of our current situation.

This is such an emotional drawing Mark, and it is telling so much about the times we are living in just now. I think it is especially bad for grandmothers not to able to hug their grandchildren. The expression of sadness is so well pictured.

I like the way you have used the brick wall as a framing, the color pallet, and the very good attention to details. I also like the smoothness of your coloring.

The format and framing is perfect, and I like that you have placed the grandmother and child in the center. A truly touching and well done picture, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I really like this. It truly captures the feelings of so many around the world right now. The colors and lines that you used really draw the attention to the child in the front. The only thing I would have done slightly different is to subdue the colors in the window a bit mainly in the corners. This would give you the appearance of glass in the window. Still a great piece. Very moving and very well composed. Great work.

Well I appreciate your opinion but no..the way I did that attracts the viewer eye to the POV. Thanks for the good review

I absolutely agree. It was just a suggestion. I meant no disrespect by it. It's a beautiful piece. I in no means ever thought you would change an original work of art. Just giving some advice that may or may not help you in future works. Keep up the amazing artwork.

No worries and not offended. You put 12 artist in a room and they will do it 12 different ways .wink

I think this is probably the saddest part of this pandemic, having loved ones in the hospital or nursing home that you can't see. I have a girlfriend who hasn't been able to visit her 92 yr old grandmother since March. Can't even imagine what that's like,or how awful it is for the residents not to have visits from family. Yes,we have to have faith that 'this too shall pass" hopefully sooner that later. This is such an emotional piece, the little girl reaching up to give her grandmother a hug thru the window, grandma with her mask on and tears in her eyes. Can't happen soon enough. Beautifully done,i wish you the very best in the contest!

I like how you really show reality in the world right now. The emotion is really shown in this picture and how we really miss our loved ones. Good job and good luck.

A great image for these trying times. I am very fortunate to have a yard full of birds and a camera, but I can imagine how tough this social isolation can be, especially if one is in a nursing home. A very nice image.
