I like the juxtaposition of the roar of war and the quest for peace...
I like the superb close up cropping showing emotionally charged gaping mouth of the human subject and the serene connotation of someone praying the rosary....
Dramatic subtle sepia tones and subdued illumination with a visually balanced composition of light and darkness...

This is a clever piece of art, very powerful and full of emotions and it most definitely has that angry undertones with the expressions of the guy in the background and it total contrasts the other holding and kissing that cross adds that very poignant message that the whole world should heed too Raoul!

Strong visual impact, you show the emotions very well here , the war, shown in the facial expression, and peace shown very well as he closes his eyes . and clasps the cross in his hand. The light and shadows work well also to support the two emotions. Very well created with good attention to the details. Well presented!

A beautiful drawing that is well conceived and deftly executed. I guess that even those of us who have not experienced war first hand have our own demons. A beautiful image that captures that dichotomy.
