A beautiful picture of this American Robin perched on the rotting log in a field of Violets, as it watches you out of the corner of it's eye. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

My gosh Super you didn't read my notes! LOL It's an American Robin. Through FAR I discovered other countries have robins but they're appearance is different from the ones in the USA. Thanks for the great review.

Hi Lise, I got a big laugh out of you saying a robin was trying to build a nest on the back tire of your truck. She must be a first timer! LOL Thank you for the lovely review!

actually I looked it up and found out the average life span of a robin is 13 months, so the poor little buggers don't get to practice much lol

A pretty good nature photo posted here! We, here in Britain get to see robins all year round. Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable look at your robin and it's lovely garden location. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

This is a beautiful entry for this contest! The Robin as well as the purple flowers are both signs of spring.
The robin is well focused, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones are natural. I see good definition in the feathers, face and beak of the robin, appreciate that clear eye.
Well composed and presented!
Best wishes to you in this contest!

Yes, you're right! The first sign of Spring is the robins' arrival. Focus on the bird is very sharp, and I'm glad you caught it singing. Colors are well managed, too. Composition is pleasing. Nice photo!
