Very nice photograph of the Grey Wagtails. I like how they are relaxing on the rock with the ripples of water. Good focus and lighting. Nice composition. Sharp detail. Well done.

Hi Susan, another great photograph you have here. Not one but two birds in action. It looks like one is waiting for the other to feed, bath, or fly. I enjoyed viewing and reviewing you picture. Keep up the excellent work. Laprap

Eileen,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on these tiny little Birds who get their name because when the move on the ground, constantly they rapidly wag their tail up & down...hence the name "Wagtail" the female adullt is on the right & the fledgling is on the left.

A beautiful shot. I must admit that I would be tempted to wait until Sunday to post this one at a time when people have more 6's available. It would surely get several. A beautiful shot in all regards.

Well captured adult and baby, I like their positions on the rocks, they are beautiful little birds with that yellow standing out from the Grey and white feathers. Well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented!

Pat,
Tanks a million for your complementary review on these two Grey Wagtails on a rock in the Dodder.
Today I just missed the Kingfisher & a young Sika Deer on the river bank...hopefully I might see it tomorrow if the rain holds off.

Nicely captured shot of these two Wagtails.I love these little birds and how they are forever living up to their names as they are constantly wagging their tails.Quick little things too so you have done well to catch the two of them as well as you have ,perched on the same rock and in fairly good focusing..well done

Thanks a million for your complementary review on these two Grey Wagtails on a rock in the river Dodder yesterday. I must have taken up to ten pictures before I got this one with both virtually still.

Nice capture in the low light of both chilling on a rock.
Nice exposure, clarity and I like the bit of lemon yellow that pops off the adult and the wee one.
Nice work Susan ;)

The choice to become a mother is the choice to become one of the greatest spiritual teachers there is. The grey wagtail is a member of the wagtail family, Motacillidae, measuring around 18-19 cm overall length. The species looks somewhat similar to the yellow wagtail but has the yellow on its underside restricted to the throat and vent.
