I love the lighting and the beauty
Of this unusual turtle. I don't think I've seen one whose face reminds me of a mammal.
Fabulous shot FS. This is so cool!

Fantastic photograph of this pig-nosed turtle. I have never seen one. Great focus and lighting. Sharp detail. Nicely composed. Colors and tones are all natural. Well done.

Hey Steve!
Great shot, the background is awesome and allows great contrast for the turtles shell. I like your notes as I didn't know this type of turtle existed haha. This is a great photo that showcased this turtle well!

What a great portrait of this turtle and thank you for your notes, I love to learn about things I am not familiar with. I love the way you shot this, up close and personal. The lighting is just perfect, accentuating his soft colors and that incredible snout. Focus is sharp, and your tight shot almost evokes pathos. He seems so sad in this position. Thanks for sharing.

Great shot of this fabulous turtle, Steve. Aquarium shots can be a challenge and you pulled this one off perfectly. Truly seamless post processing and the pose, reflection and detail quality are all top notch. Have been to this aquarium many times during all our years in the DC area.

My pleasure, Steve. Yes, that is a great aquarium. We have a neat one here in Tampa too. Have you ever been to ours?

I have never even heard of a pig nosed turtle, much less seen one! This turtle is fascinating!
You have photographed it well allowing a good look at its nose! Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is mostly good, there is a blown out spot just under the nose on its left side, and on just the rim of each flipper, I feel that this still deserves a five because of the fascinating subject matter and it's placement in the frame. The turtle is standing out very well from the dark background. Thank you for sharing this one! Well presented!

I have never even herd of these turtles before until now. Very nice picture showing lots of characteristics and details. I actually wish the black background was different. But it does really bring out the turtle.

This is a beautiful shot. The turtle is in perfect focus, with the background nicely blurred. It almost looks like he is swimming out of a dark cave.
