I really enjoy the color palette you chose for this piece. The rhythm of the water droplets and feathers is very pleasing to the eye. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful craftsmanship.

Very well drawn and beautifully detailed, good depiction of this trio of bathing pigeons throwing the spray of droplets into the air. Nice sense of motion captured and presented. A very artistic look into the life of a pigeon that most of us probably have never had the opportunity to observe!

I was looking at a post on fb of eggs Tescos/ supermarket/ is selling for 25p /tiny amount of money/ from imprisoned chickens and how they look after 3 months in the cages. After 9 months they kill them, defeathered. I am so happy to see your fine, chubby birds after those horrific photos. I love eggs, only ate my first one at 8yrs old when I came to England, ate 9 at one go, so delicious but at what cost!!! IPigeons in the blue, enjoying a wiggle in their water. Lovely drawing and pic of these plump, fine birds. Did I tell you, I once caught a mid-teens Pakistani lad, as I was crossing our nearby park, with a sack, catching pigeons. Hoi!! I shouted being a teacher and used to young people needing disciplining, what are you doing. My mum sends me out every day for our tea!! Tea is what they call a meal at about 18:00 o'clock. I gave up and left him rounding up more pigeons. Free food as far as they could see!

Hello Lucien, this is a good drawing. This piece has good color and detail. I like the splashing water. I like the pigeons you do, they remind me a being a kid. We had a lot of pigeons here in MD. It's funny, I don't see nearly as many as an adult. Great work.

    good morning James,

when I was a kid I had pigeons, coming from Europe and not speaking English, not having the right cloths, I was bullied a lot and felt alone and discovering pigeons, and having some gave me friends, they did not judge me and they accepted me for who I was.
Sorry for the extra narrative, so yes, they are very special to me, and my limited talents allows me to show them as I know them to be.

Thank you for your time and comments, all are appreciated.
take care, and have yourself a really good day.
    as always,
    cheer.

Usually I do not like tight framed drawings, but for this birth bath the tight framing is perfect because it emphasizes the busyness of this place. The flipping wings show the movement of the birds. The splashing water drops show what the birds are doing. The viewer receives lots of information. The blue overlay and background amplify the water. I admire your attention to exact detail. The eyes of the birds are especial impressive. Perspective and proportions are flawless. The drawing is excellently composed.

    Cleo,

all I can say is thank you for the 6 star rating.
The drawing was a challenge, both in how to lay it out, like make it an open expanse drawing or a tight close up one, the tight composition allowed me to really focus in on the birds.

Then in second was how to do the rendering, I decide to keep the color more monochromatic, the droplets were a challenge in how many to have and then how to render them and when to render them.

Again thank you for the rating.
    Have a great day.
    Take care.
    Cheers.

Interesting and creative use of motion and blue colors. I enjoyed looking for the birds and connecting the feathers to each one. The splashing water droplets are a bonus!

    Brown cat,

    good morning.

Your critique of my drawing is appreciated.
The water droplets, by having added them, for me gave it motion. Like I could see the pigeon dunking itself into the water.
Thank you again for your time and comments.

    Take care,
    Lucien
