The photo has good clarity and I like the way the water was captured in this photo. The duck seems to be in focus as well. The angle leaves a little to be desired; meaning it would have been better to have taken the image from an angle where we would see his face and eye.
For me it's nice, an average photo, not a wow photo, know what I mean?
Your control of the lighting is good, as is your focus, it has to do with the framing and angle in this case being slightly off to me.

A beautiful picture of this Mallard drake swimming towards the little girl offering food. The sunlight glistening on his Iridescent green head & shining on his yellow break. & The sky reflected on the water's surface.
Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
