Wow! What a dramatic image FS. This is gorgeous and filled with a wealth of information.
I especially love the viewpoint,
The colors both warm and cool in the overall photo, and how they are perfectly separated by the neutral earth tones. Amazing that it is filled with all that microscopic life. How interesting,Steve!
I'm glad that you mentioned the Thermophiles!
Those and the other Extremophile life forms that science has been discovering in the most unlikely habitats might very well resemble the things that we'll possibly encounter in Deep Space someday!
( Or perhaps the species of animal that replaces us as Earth's dominant life form will encounter them eons after our kind goes extinct! Who can say? )
