as soon as I saw it, I was going to comment on the eye. It seems so odd, but why should everything have human eyes? But honestly, it really looks odd, especially with all those white feathers!

Wish I had a six for you!! What a amazing photo...I think it could be a page right out of National Geographic or Wildlife magazine! The eye does seem to be just staring with suspicion! A crystal clear photo capturing the personality of this seagull! Well done!

Not sure that a seagull is in the duck family but that aside this is an excellent portrait of the bird. The clarity and focus is great with excellent exposure and white balance. :)

A beautiful 3/4 profile of this Herring Gull with it's yellow rimmed eye watching you closely & it's red spot in it's strong yellow bill allowing me to identify this "Shit-bomb" making aerial Bomber up close & personal. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.
