Love the sharp crisp detail in the eye. And of course the bristles on the weed. Great color. The soft green back ground gives you perfect depth. Perfect framing. Well done.

this is likely a "lyside sulphur butterfly" (Kricogonia lyside) but not absolutely sure; outstanding sharp focus and details; perfect framing and lighting;

This is a superb photo of this butterfly! Your excellent sharpness renders such great detail that the dots on the eyes and the lines on the antennae can be clearly seen. The light and colors are lovely. Very well done!

Beautiful capture...you are right it is difficult to make them pause for a click.... but this one has obliged you completely..although the butterfly is not colourful but is contrasting well with golden yellow of the flower and the green background...fine details are visible....

A beautiful picture of this white Butterfly with a few darker spots on its wings the left one with a damaged tip alighted on the grass seed head. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

love this for a number of reasons. As a painter I am looking at the textures. those gauze like wings against the hairy spine it has landed on, yet having its own long, slender antenae and legs. Look at those eyes. Fantastic catch. Well done
