very creative and interesting, maybe just too much negative space; I like the lighting of the central leaf;
my problem: the thema of this contest is: candles, not candle light.

Oh..thanks I thought it was candle light.
I just checked. It said show candlelight.
It is showing up in the contest so I think it's ok!

yes, you are right; I just considered the title.. once again, the title is confusing because "candles" and "candle light" Don't have the same meaning;

A very interesting use of the light as it is projected through the opening in the leaf pattern of the light covering. I do think that less black would have made it even more dramatic as a composition, making it more balanced between positive and negative space.
Good idea, for me needs that balance to make it an over the top image.

Interesting reflections on the wall from a burning candle, nice bright orange tones, pretty leaf pattern. Well captured and shown on the black background. Well focused , the image is clear, light is well managed. Colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented!
