A very pretty grouping of these blossoming wild artichokes.I like the purple flowers which remind me of thistles, and the spikey looking green leaves. All very well focused with nice soft lighting and all very detailed.

What colour! Glorious Suprgold!
Love the prickly texture of the stems against the softness of the artichoke flower greatly.
Would be interesting to see a more tighter cropped shot of the flower, even a little more from above?

I used to grow artichokes in my garden. These are beautiful and look a lot like Canadian thistle. A very nice shot with sharp details and beautiful colors.

This is an interesting photo. I guess that Wild Artichokes are eatable and that they are growing in vegetable gardens as well as in wilderness areas. The abundance of grow shown in your photo is intriguing. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color. The panorama framing is sufficient. The composition is balanced.

Artichokes? Out here we call them thistles. In Ireland, the purple flower is a sign of love. I would like to know more of the history of this flower, weed, vegetable?

these are true, edible artichokes; much larger than thistles

These are so pretty! The flowers look like purple tufts ! Well photographed with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, the colors and tones are natural. This is the very first time I have seen wild artichokes, I really appreciate this opportunity to view! They are fascinating! Well composed allowing a good sense of how they grow . Well presented!

These are so cool! I've never seen them! I love purple, and these have such an unusual look, even the leaves are different! I like how you shot them as a bunch as well. The pops of purple really show up in the various shades of green. Lots if dimension shown too! Great shot!
