Quite a nice rendition with a good imagination of colours, and intreguing effect. The highlights and sparkle are well done. The view is tight, I think it would have been better with more of a view of the anatomy of this beautiful sea creature. It looks as though you have run out of space rather than bringing it to the viewer. Perhaps using perspective would have resulted also in your endeavours.
The background does work well and enhances the colours. The reflection of sunlight in parts also helps too.

sea horses were very much used in general art in my youth here. They have a romantic quality, we embroidered them all over the place, so it is nice to see one again. Well painted. I can't say I have ever seen one in real life.

Great capture of this seahorse. They are amazing looking creatures. I really like the colors you used and all the little details. The only thing I would have liked to see it the full body. The curvy tail is one of the best features in my opinion! Really like the depth blue color of the sea as well.
