Thank you for your five star vote and your comments Jesuel. I appreciate both. As to the rating. I agree. Why do we as a society allow images of killing and destruction while needing to censure beauty. However, it is a category on this site that needs to be addressed and being cautious, I comply.

With fine draftsmanship and handling of the medium, you have created a lovely painting which is classical in its composition. Another lovely addition to your previous works. Thanks for sharing!

Cool!
This one's another fine looking creation,Carl, and I'm enjoying my view of it a lot!

Thank you for your five star vote and your comments. I appreciate both. Jewelry? Probably seductive, which of course is not my intent when I paint nudes as we both know.

Number 2 of the series. This is another great work depicting the feminine side of a woman.

The pose is natural and nicely done. The mouth and the teeth for me are somewhat of a distraction as it is not a smile or anything I can put my finger on. It just looks a bit out of place in this work. Not enough to take away anything from another wonderful work.

Your series has been very enjoyable to see. I hope you have another possible series in mind Carl.

Great work Carl ~ Steve

Again, thank you for your five star vote and your comments. I appreciate both. About the mouth. Once again I am running up against a culturally induced perception of idealized beauty. Obviously it is something I will live with because I choose reality over idealization and I try to honor my models with being as truthful to their appearance as I have the skill to do so. As to another series? Not at this time. I have other paintings demanding to be born.

Of all the nudes you have posted this has several issue to me. The belly and how it curves as it leaves the frame looks wrong, it needs to be smoother in the curve, so that it flows. I also think the far nipple looks off; it is too distorted as a shape in my way of thinking. For me in this one the background having that bright yellow between her arm and face just does not work. I am also seeing a bubble like shape, which makes her check look wrong of off for me, it looks unnatural.
Even though it has issues, I still think for the most part, the use of pastels in this good, in the way you captured the majority of her flesh tones, the use of the media is good.

Thank you for sharing.
Have a good day.
Cheers
Lucien

This one in the series is not as womanly as the others as her structure ,particularly the face ,is certainly a lot more severe and her body a lot more defined through her muscles, however, still a beautiful composition with excellent palette of colours and tonal control

I really like this picture. It looks very real. Because human body is one of the fantastic things of what nature can produce. And it shows the beauty of nature and it's glory. Great job keep it up.
