Such a dramatic and dynamic scene Raoul. The action and tension of the scene are palpable.
This depicts nature in the raw. The hunter and the prey. Your title of "Circle of Life and Death" is perfect for this scene.

Your drawing is unusual and interesting because you took a metaphor literally. You show indeed the way of life and death. In this case of predator and pray. Catch the pray our you will dye of hunger in contradiction to Run or you will be die and be eaten. Especially interesting is that the winning party is not sure. Hunter and pray have an even chance. Your painting is well composed. The view from above emphasizes the circle. Perspective and proportions are exact. The colors resemble the colors of African desserts.

I don't really think hat 'to eat or be eaten' is much of a question in regards to a hungry Great Cat circling a harmless Zebra!
It's just 'Nature's Way' and you've pictured that very nicely here!

With this lion being so skinny I sure hope he gets this food source, I watched a documentary on lions and boy they have it rough so Im rooting for the lion in this circle of life you have produced here, very nice details of the animals, and great concept

An interesting piece of art work and the composition from an unusual angle and it works well with its correlation to the title.I particularly applaud you on the detailed markings on the Xebra and the tonal control on the Lion which emphasises the powerful muscle formation on the beast.Overall a good piece and good luck in the contest..there is a lot of good work in this contest
