An interesting pairing. I like the depth of field that shows both of these birds in such nice detail. An excellent composition with beautiful colors.

Thank you for the narrative, very informative. The photo is good, the colors are rich and inviting visually. The cropping is a little too tight along the bottom, another inch or two there would have not have your eye leave the scene so easily.
The look, or eye on the stork, is what the title implies.
The lighting is okay the focus could be little bit better so that the gooses neck did not get so blow out, so you could see the feathers better.
Over all nice idea.
Thank you for allowing me to comment on you piece
have nice day.
Cheers.

the stork...is a grey heron!

Sorry about that, goes to show what I know about water birds. Next time I will be more accurate.
Cheers.

Fred,
An amusing & interesting picture of the local Grey Heron watching the Chinese Goose with the "Cheek" to stand on the lake's bank, that is scattered with feathers. Both of them watching you! Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Nice focus on both birds Supergold. And good detail of their feathers.
I like the darkness of the water against the falling of the greenery.
There is a little flower up in that top left, possibly just by chance, but to me it puts a stop on my eye from leaving the image - no, stay, come back to the birds, so love it there!
*no feathers were harmed in the making of this photo* ;) haha
Enjoy reading your write up too.

An interesting nature shot posted here with fascinating notes too! Your appropriate composition captures the scene very well. Yes, the heron does look disturbed by the goose which looks pretty big. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Nicely taken!

That is a very large goose and presumably has escaped from somewhere to invade the area - good composition showing the size comparison. Focus and color also good.
