Lovely pic....excellent composition...empty nest surrounded by green leaves give a very unique vibe...and your caption says it all...by the way nest is solid and can be put on rent

the kids grew up..the mother left with another bird and dad is up in the top of the tree looking down saying.."where did it all go!'..lol...ooo you know what would be cool if you make a tiny "for sale" sign and display it on the nest then capture it..think of the chuckles that you would get on that capture..wink..lol. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this empty nest is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Chuck,
A beautiful & interesting picture of a Bird's nest could it be the nest of an American Robin after the fledglings had left the nest? As the size resembles that of our European Blackbird, a close cousin of the American Robin. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

Air B&B? Lol.
Great capture of this empty nest. Nice framing with the green foliage. Good clarity, and colors.
Maybe another family will use it!

A nicely cropped shot with very good detail in the empty nest. A good perspective that allows you to see to the bottom of the nest. A sharp image in a fine setting.

Such a well made nest hope the previous tenants had a successful breeding season. Interesting to view close up the construction of the nest which is well focused and the colors are very realistic.

So sad to be empty nester, and see this nest empty; you will have a hard time to fit into it even with paying a good rent. Wonderful photograph, great details and Composition so nicely framed with the trees. Good luck in the contest.

A very interesting nature shot posted here! Looks like and sounds like the family have taken off to better parts or was it just an ordinary migration? Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

I am sure an avid twitcher would be able to identify which bird this nest would have belonged to..The composition of your shot is well balanced and beautifully sharp in focus.
