Roses are eternally beautiful. It expresses promise, new beginnings, and hope. Its thorns represent defense, physicality, loss, thoughtlessness. In the major arcana the rose appears on the Magician, Strength, Death and Fool cards. During University Gender studies, we studied the Rose and its thorns seriously.

Very pretty. I love the beautiful soft colours, against the darkened background, makes if feel ever so delicate. And nice and crisp through the centre of the flower. Lovely that it can be used for inspiration for other creative projects.

Beautiful indeed! No other flower seems to have the capability to blend one color into another like the rose does. Square cropping would be ideal for this blossom rather than the severe vertical treatment.

A very beautiful rose in its full bloom. The light and clarity is excellent with such lovely detail in the petals and colours. I probably would have taken some of the space off the top to focus more on this gorgeous rose. Wonderful capture!
