the pointillist technique worked really well in getting the rose's colors to blend as I envisioned them from the photo.

I reviewed the photo which inspired your artwork earlier. I am impressed with the accuracy of your drawing. The colors are throughout realistic. The petals of the rose have realistic detail while the background appears softer which gives the artwork an intriguing 3D appearance. It seems that the rose grows tall and is quite away from the small flowers below. The drawing is well composed and framed.

oh i know this is tediuos work..whats it is on 5x8"? the floral form is excellent. the depth is excellent. the shading is excellent. the blend of the colors is awesome.. the creation is well balanced and very eye appealing to the viewer. sorry no 6's but ill give ya this one...(standing clapping and cheering) wooooooooooohoooooooooooooooo!!!

So beautiful! What a lovely flower. I like that you used the entire frame for the flower, but I think there is a bit too much on the bottom and top. I like the addition of the pretty little blue flowers helps divide the to from the bottom.

A beautiful piece of art work in your chosen medium.I can imagine that you need a lot of patience to complete such a piece with every dot having to be placed accurately to achieve the right image and the right tones which appear to have been beautifully applied here.Well done on an attractive presentation

yes, they do take time using the pointillism technique, but for me, the end item result is just amazing.
