This is indeed a look into the past, but it is not many left working their land like this. Still I bet this boy is enjoying what he is doing more than a farmer in his tractor.
The photo is nice and sharp with clear and well defined details, and the exposure is perfect. I also like the limited color pallet.
Personally I would have done some changes to the composition, because I think too much of the foreground is included. A cropping at the bottom would be nice in my opinion. Still this is a lovely and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so much! I agree on the crop. I crop for future printing and I use fixed aspect for 11x14 prints. If I crop out more than shown I have to change the aspect. I can change it for this contest but the print size will be different. I guess I could create another image like it. I hope you understand what I mean. Any suggestions?

I understand what you mean Willie, but you could crop it for this contest, but keep the original for printing.

A very fine shot. I think the hat is typically an Amish thing. A beautifully composed image with excellent details and great natural colors.

This capture has an intriguing nostalgic appearance. It looks as if taken at the beginning of the last century. The photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. Colors and light are realistic and details are refined. The horses, boy and plow are well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
