I think you did a lovely job capturing a shallow depth of field with a nice bokeh and non distracting background. The composition works well and the lighting is pretty even. I would've liked to see more detail in the shadow of the feathers and a little more sharpness to give interest. Otherwise great capture!

Great photo. Good composition, great subject, an impressive amount of detail, and perfect lighting. I just wish the Magpie would have given you a pretty blue backdrop to work with. That would have made it really pop.

certainly not my prefered bird, we have a lot of magpies in our area, including my garden;
however, like all babies it is a cute one;
sharp focus with good exposure for the black and white "colors".
