This is a pretty big baby. The juvenile plumage still shows, but apparently it left the nest already. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the sharpness of detail. The Magpie is well place at the bright of the frame. The composition is balanced.;

yeah he is waiting for food..lol. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this bird on the rail is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Never heard of a taking magpie before! Your fine and full, off-centre composition grants us a enjoyable view of it. Like its beak and puffed up breast. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

Pat,
A beautiful picture of this fledgling Magpie with a surprised look in it's eye as it waits for it's parent to feed it. the sunlight catching the sparkle in it's eye & the shine on it's beak & plumage. It looks fragile, not a look that will last too long as it matures into an handsome adult. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. They are one of the most intelligent birds & to my eye handsome too.
