I like the full color in this image. I like the way the darker yellow color in the bud flows out to a lighter shade on to the petal. Perfect framing of a sharp image. Well done.

The color on the rose is very well presented,the focus is really good on the rose as well. I also like the fact it is not smack dab center in the frame.
The one thing that to be is a slight detractor is the buds at the top not being fully in the frame.Other then that detractor a nice image.

The focus and detail is wonderful! I love the color gradations. It looks so healthy, the leaves, buds all add to it. I like the reference to "SHY" as the bloom is "peeking out" from behind the leaf. Good job on this, nice shot. Good luck in the contest.
