A beautiful picture of this Yellow American Garden Spider on the white painted garden fence from which it stands out in three dimensions. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

Very good entry for the contest - good luck. I love how our friend stands out against the white of the garage. Good focus and dof. My only comment is that I think cropping the shot a bit may give us a nicer look at our multi legged friend. Thanks for sharing.

I hate spiders too and thankfully we don't have a huge variety of them and we have none that are poisonous here. I have never seen one with the shiny gold body like this. It's legs are black with gold stripes. It does stand out very well from the white wall. Well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

I really like this. It has a paint texture. The clarity of your focus is good. The background colour excellent as it does not seek attention over the spider yet gives a sence of placement. I think it a very good capture.

The spider looks impressive on the white painted wood. Your photo is well focused and exposed. Details are refined. Even the texture of the wood shows beneath the paint. The colors are realistic. The diagonal presentation is pleasant to the eyes of the viewer. The spider is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

You're most welcome :o)

it is very likely a Wasp Spider (Argiope Bruennichi), but I can be wrong; good capture; would have been nice to capture him before or after crossing the separation;

Yes, sometimes emotions have to be set aside when opportunity strikes as in your good looking competition entry! I can, therefore, understand why you got this lovely nature photo. It's body and legs make a good contrast with your garage. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

They're one of the few earthly animals that can always 'give me the creeps too,my friend!
But they're FASCINATING creatures nonetheless and your Well-Presented photograph of this one looks Great!

A very nice shot. I think this is an argiope (rhymes with calliope). In any event it is shown in fine detail and great colors. Good luck in the contest.
