Love the deep color,the pink contrasted with three white centers. Focus is great. Green border is pleasing. The lacy edges of the bougainvillea leaves are beautiful.

Your capture is excellent. The Bougainvillea is beautiful and the Shrimp Plant pushing her yellow blossom through is a pleasant addition. The photo is perfect focused and exposed. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the sharpness of detail. The photo is well composed and framed.

I just love these flowers, and I also like that a yellow Shrimp flower is mixed in with the Bougainvillea. The green foliage looks so lovely and all the flowers are standing out from it in a very good way.

The photo is nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details all over, and the exposure is very good. The colors are crisp and clear.

The format you have cropped the photo into works well and the flowers have got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo with a good DOF. Since this is a photo for the letter P, I would probably have changed the title to Pink Bougainvillea to be on the safe side. I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you Annie. Great call on the title. I changed it. As there are several varieties of Bougainvillea: purple, yellow, red, pink etc. I was more specific.

Here's a bit of information Annie: What many people think of as the blooms of bougainvillea are not actually blooms at all. The showy paper-like structures are a modified leaf called a bract. These three bracts hide the true flowers inside, which are small, trumpet-shaped flowers in whites and yellows.

You are more than welcome Steve. I actually know that it is the small white center being the flower of the Bougainvillea, but you could not know this.
