This is a lovely close up portrait of this beautiful swan! I like how close you were able to get to him. The swan is nice and sharp. The background is blurred enough for the swan to really stand out.

I like the portrait pose, the angle of the shot in capturing the swans head. I think the negative and positive space is balanced.
I am thinking the focus is good for the most part. However, the white on his neck is a little bright creating a hot spot along his neck, a slight detractor to the shot. No matter how I view it on my two monitors, it either gets worse or is less obtrusive, and yet still a detector.
Other then that I like the overall images color harmony, between swan and negative space.

Good dof used in this,i would have used a vertical format because of the swans neck would suit it better,but in saying that this works for this portrait as well,good precise image...Brian

What a beautiful swan looking very coy. I like how you framed this off-center. The feathers and features are nice and crisp. I know it is hard to shoot things that are white, and you did a marvelous job.

Great shot here Nik. That portrait is great. The colors are well done and nicely saturated. The only thing is the part on the neck that is a bit too white causing a loss of clarity. if not for that this is a Six in my book.

maybe the swan is waiting for a kiss..wink..lol. cool capture. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the close up shot of this swans facial is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.
