This is really fine, Brenda. It does look like an old fashioned oil painting and should be in a gallery somewhere! The love the contrast with the soft sage green. If I had anywhere to put art I'd buy it from you, but this is only a dream. I have no money or space, lol...

Very nicely done with sentimental feeling behind it. Great colors that are nicely presented against the suitable background . Details and overall presentation is so pleasing.

The pea blossoms arranged in a glass vase are intriguing. The colors are intriguing. The contradiction of the dark purple and red wit6h the lighter colors and the white is intriguing. The still life is well composed. The loose brush strokes are clean. The flower arrangement is well placed in the frame. The composition is balanced.

Beautiful. If I judged this painting as a traditional realism painting it would not be worth displaying anywhere. However, if it is seen as an impressionistic presentation of how colors and shapes can be juxtaposed against each other to elicit a desire in the viewer to spend some time enjoying the vibrancy of object color forms based against that magnificently blended mono color background that has been perfectly colored and toned to allow the brilliance of the flowers to grab the attention, then this painting is well worth the time to enjoy. By the way that was one of the biggest problems the early impressionists had to deal with. OK, no more lecture. This is a beautiful painting. Reasons for my five star vote.

Your valued interpretation has made my day. My art is never meant to be photorealistic but just as you describe is my feeling when I want to paint and pass on my way of seeing ... many a view is expressed as something i can tell is being compared to that which is realistic. Sad but that's how it goes. You have that innersight. Big thank you.

Thank you for your review and time. Your comments are appreciated. This flower is very common in the UK .. There are many enthusiasts and many varieties. All colours are highly perfumed, reminds me a bit of Freesia, possibly a member of that family. If you know ordinary garden peas, then these grow similar except larger flowers and colour. Their seeds are also produced like peas in a pod but much smaller.

Wonderful entry for this contest! I love sweet peas! You have created them so very well with realistic shape and structure, well chosen and applied colors and I like the way you arranged this bouquet in the clear bowl and placed it on a table with a lace doily underneath. Pretty green toned background works well to show off your lovely bouquet! Well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

A colourful presentation of this gorgeous flower.I applaud your efforts at achieving a certain amount of depth in your flowers through your good tonal control, applying shadow where required to do so.The bowl is a little too misshaped and the doily although well applied does have a bit of a mix of thin and thick lines that go astray, but overall a nice presentation
