This is a nice looking shot of mallard ducklings! You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

A nicely exposed shot with fine detail in the ducklings. I like the low shooting angle and the catchlights in the eyes. The composition is excellent and the colors are natural.

    Supergold much welcome.

The two of them look so sweet cuddled up like this, and you have pictured them so well. The light is falling on them in such a lovely way, and they are standing out well from the background.

The photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details in both birds, and the exposure is perfect.

The cropping is working well, and the birds are well placed within the frame. A truly sweet and well taken photo Fred, and with a very good DOF.

Two precious mallard ducklings, I always worry about the ducklings because they are so vulnerable.
Well captured with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, their colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented!

only 2 survivors out of 7!

That makes me sad. I know that happens.

They sure have grown, the photo is composed well, the two ducks are the point of the photo. Good focus, the details are good and clear.
I like the angle and the added dimension of them sitting on the embankment, and how that slop adds to the dynamics of the image.

Thank you for the image and sharing the growth of the ducklings.

Have good day.
Cheers.
Lucien

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this pair of almost adult Mallard ducklings drying off on the lake's bank in the sunshine, both keeping you under observation. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

    merci beaucoup;
just an effect of the close up: they are still very small

    Fred,
They are small but they are now have almost all their feathers like the ducklings on the Dodder about the same age...they still need to grow their wings so they can fly.

Nicely settled down but still keeping an eye on you - good composition and realistic coloring. The exposure and focus are all good.
