I think this Hollyhock looks fantastic, and for the first time I have this plant in my garden this summer as well. The flowers have not come out yet, but after seeing your photo, I can hardly wait. Mine are deep purple, but I really like the delicate light peach colors in yours.
The flowers are standing out well from the dark foliage in the background and it is fine details to be seen in the flowers. Also the exposure is very good.
The format and framing is fine and I like the almost centered position of the Hollyhock. A lovely and well taken photo Chuck, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Cool,Chuck!
We used to see the occasional Hollyhock growing in fields around here when I was little but they've been pretty much 'extinct' up this-a-way for the last fifty years or so!
Your photo of this tall and cheerful looking specimen is very enjoyable to see!
'Good Show',Man! : )

I love the "tall flowers" in a garden. They stand out for me when I see them, even from afar. These are beautiful, The color is so muted and the lacy quality of the blooms is delightful. I might prefer a different angle, to highlight the height/depth of the stalk, and a bit tighter focus. Good luck in the contest.
