This makes me a little sad because, this is the week we were supposed to be there.
:( Oh well...next year. :) This is a beautiful shot, Pat. The colors are really beautiful. the composition is perfect with so much to look at from the colors in the sky to the reflection in the water to the foliage in the front. You've captured something special when you present an image that makes the viewer want to spend time looking at every pixel of the print. Lovely work.

Thank you so much Donna! I thought about you here too, this is another spot you will drive right past on your way to Seward! It?s a great place to see Arctic tern and trumpeter swans too!

Hi Pat, Hope you don't mind if I grab a chair and walk into your lovely scene.
I'd love to sit there and just gaze at the lovely sunset. Thus image just draws you in to enjoy every second of the setting sun. Love images that have the power to do that! Fantastic capture and more than a joy to view! :o) Nancy
PS. Hope you and your family are all well and healthy....and stay that way!!!

Pat, I don't blame you for wanting to picnic in this spot! You don't need a sunset to enjoy the spectacular view here. Serenity and joy surround you in a scenic place like this. The sunset just adds to the beauty! Lucky You! Beautiful piece my Friend! :o)

This is a very well taken scene Pat. The leading lines formed by the reflection of the colors in the sunset and then coming to the point and fanning out from there into the sky is captivating. The hour glass form produced is enhanced by the reflections of the mountains on either side.

The details in the foreground, especially the golden leaves among the green completes the scene.

This would be a great image for Lucas to paint. This looks like it would be right down his alley.

Well done Pat ~ Steve

Love this.It is classical in its concept and execution and in its atmosphere; The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

Another very fine photograph of a magnificent scene. It has nicely defined vegetation in the fore ground. That reflection in such calm water in magnificent. And the pass between the mountains is just about perfect. You have quite an eye my dear, quite an eye. Reasons for my five star vote.

Pat, what a gorgeous sunset! The colours are so pretty with lilac, pink, yellow and fresh greenery. Interesting pink triangular water reflection framed by the greenery and mountains. I like the wafts of cloud seen floating against the darkened mountains. It sounds like you have very late nights where you live. Such a beautiful landscape scene!

This is so like New Zealand which we loved on our trip there - totally love the composition with the foliage in foreground and the shape of water leading the eye through to the setting sun. Gorgeous color. Thanks for sharing Pat.

Pat,
A spectacular view over Tern Lake the thin low clouds skimming the mountain peaks The colours in the sky of the setting sun reflected on the lake's glistening surface framed by the mountains in the background & the trees in the foreground. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

the pink glow is just gorgeous. I would want to just sit staring at it! I want to come and live there having read up its features!!This area hosts a myriad of animals, birds, fish, and unique plants. Common loons, bald eagles, and arctic terns share the area with a variety of songbirds and shorebirds like the northern water thrush, golden-crowned sparrow, and the greater yellowlegs. Beavers, river otters, muskrats, and salmon ply the cold, clear waters of Tern Lake. Moose, Dall sheep, and mountain goats can be seen on the surrounding mountains.
My area hosts, syrians, iraqis, west indians, africans and slovakians!
