Roger,
A fantastic stop action macro picture of the White Crab Spider with the poor Honey Bee breathing her last as the spider prepares to devour her in the centre of the red flower. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & focus so sharp given time I think I could count the pollen grains clinging to the bee & the Spider.
Good luck in the contest.

The close-up is excellent focused and exposed. The spider draws our eyes due to the foreshortening perspective and its white body reflecting the light. I can imagine that an unsuspecting insect goes easily into this trap. The photo is well focused and exposed. The colors are realistic and details are well refined. I see the fine hairs on the bees body and the eyes of the spider clearly. The spider and its prey are well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
I also appreciate your interesting comments about the species.
