Bird's always look a bit strange without their tails, that's for sure, have seen some around here minus their tail feathers.Your sweet robin is still cute, just looks more round then normal. A beautiful capture with good focus and exposure,I like the surrounding branches That direct the eye toward her. Colors all look natural and she has a nice catchlight in her eye. Thanks for sharing!

    Lee Ann,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this tailless Robin in the Fuchsia bush. I got another picture of it this morning .I think I could see one new tail feather. She was looking much sleeker than she does in this one.

How interesting didn't know they lost their tail feathers - good capture and composition of the little Robin with great natural color. Focus is sharp on the eye of the bird.

Hey there Susan!
This is a nice capture of this European Robin. I love seeing the American Version of this bird! Hopefully she will do alright until her tail feathers return! Thanks for sharing :)

    Brady,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this tailless Robin in the Fuchsia. She will get her tail back in about three weeks. Our Robins are about the same size as a House Sparrow. While your is the size of our Blackbird or Thrush who are closely related to it.

An intriguing shot. I don't think I have ever seen a bird without a single tail feather. A nice composition with crisp detail and beautiful colors.

Nice Susan. What a gorgeous little bird. Like the focus, the detail of the feathers with them looking so soft, just lovely.
A little small thing - the piece of red at the left hand side, I would crop or clone out, so noones eye can be taken from the bird and drawn to it. ;)
Beautiful :)

Keep creating,

No, I do not see your tail either, little bird. Your photographer is right. Those feathers are indeed missing. Some on the breast also. The photo is excellent focused and exposed. I enjoy the crispiness of detail and the realism of light and color. The bird is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Very nice capture of this sweet robin, well defined feathers, face and beak, I like her pose on the tree allowing a good look at her face. Appreciate that glint in her eye. Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented!
