Think this goes to show you can get good photos at a zoo as well as wildlife shots,sometimes better,good photo of this tiger and the detail is superb,well done for this....Brian

This is a fine looking tiger Eileen, and you have pictured him so well. I like your notes describing his favorite toys, and also a little bit of his nature. He actually looks a bit aggressive in this photo as well.
The tiger is standing out sharp and well defined against the slightly softened background, and it is clear and well defined details to be seen. I also think the exposure is very good.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well, and the tiger has got a fine placement off to the left. A truly great looking and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.
