Well they sure know how to build a nest, looks like they are very watchful on the intrusion here, love the colour of these birds, stands out with the colour of the branches used here

The body expression of this bird is interesting. The Parrot seems suspicious. Maybe it senses the photographer. I like how the nest surrounds the bird and the dark inside of the nest like a frame. The photo is excellent focused, exposed and enhanced. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and the realism of
Light and color. The bird is perfectly placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Thank you for the thoughtful review. And yes, the bird definitely was suspicious. These birds are constantly noisy, especially when approaching anywhere near them, even though they are probably over 25 feet up. When I hang around too long, they suddenly all fly away except maybe one or two. They probably are trying to lead intruders away from the nests. Unfortunately, I have never seen a young bird at the nest.

I have never seen a nest like this before, and it is for sure framing the bird in such a nice and natural way. It is so sweet the way the Parrot is peeping out looking at you, and the light is falling on it in a lovely way.
The bird is standing out sharp and well defined, and it is clear details to be seen in both the nest and the Parrot. The exposure is perfect.
The cropping is well done and the placement of the nest and bird within the frame is very good. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.
