Definitely a unusual flower, interesting shape and flow to the pedals. The photo is well balanced between positive and negative space, both for color and difference in clarity, the focus.
The lighting is handled well, for when the shot was taken.

I love the dof, with the main flower really standing out wonderfully against the blurred background. The colours are gentle, with the oranges working nicely against the greens.
I can't help with what sort of flowers, i am terrible myself for that :) but know there are many on here that will know and help out as soon as they see this image! :)

I give this because I personally could not do it better. It's interesting. I like the angle. The colours are attractive. Your focus for me seems spot on. Your smudged framing sets off the impact of this mysterious bloom. The light has caught the tips and does not look to me overexposed or blown. From an artist's point of view this is a fine artistic capture of a lovely bloom. As an enthusiastic ex Gardiner I feel I know this but it escapes me it's name.

A very nice composition and a fine exposure that maintains good texture in the white petals. I am not much of a flower person but can say that I have never seen anything like it.
