FS! Congratulations! This unusual abstract is wonderfully artistic! I will proceed to tell you why I think this. It is obvious to me that these are bottles..not doubt visually. However I think the true nature of the abstraction is in the
interpretation of the viewer.
"Bottoms up", a phrase frequently used could be literal..like the actual bottoms up of these bottles.
It could also mean a celebration...as indicated by saying "Bottoms Up", like at a
bar when they ask for last call...or it could just mean being ready to finish the day
or drunken night and getting ready to leave for the evening. Whatever it is, the interpretation is in the eyes of the viewer...how he or she sees the artwork. That I believe is the true abstraction
in this wonderfully created or taken photo. That is thought
provoking. Hmmm...isn't that was an abstract is supposed to do. I believe it is..
So the extra star my FS is for your wonderfully artistic nature in creating this Abstract. Beautiful work.
Best wishes in the contest!

BTW..been away from Far lately as life has been pretty
crazy..but am back from time to time. Glad I saw this one!
Love the art in it!

What a great entry for the contest! It is very interesting and unusual to look at, while making a great abstract design at the same time. Very creative entry.

An interesting image. The lighting and reflection, glare are all controlled very well. One thing though, it is not a true black and white image , there is to much gray tone values to me to be considered black and white.

Which to me is a half point reduction in the rating.

Have good day
be safe.
Cheers.
Lucien

If I didn't read the title it would take me much longer to figure out what this photo is. I like the abstraction combined with realistic objects, and the setting you have them in this photo. I think it's really cool how you have the light glowing in the middle, making me wonder if these bottles are hanging off something or sitting on a glass table. I like the guesswork because it leaves room to think and at the same time admire the realism displayed here portrayed in a different light, both figuratively and literally.

Thank you Andre. Actually these bottles were facing bottoms up in a box. The original color was a golden amber color. The abstract look caught my eye and made for an interesting image. The Black and White added to the abstractness I think. Thank you again Andre ~ Steve

really good idea and excellent execution of the idea. truly a great concept and you have some really detailed grey scaling, from jet black to white, to everything in between. they almost remind me a collection of coins.

Really cool! It always amazes me when photographers can capture such cool and beautiful photos with everyday objects like bottles. It has a very cool tone to it with the color palette that makes it have a bit of a rough vibe to it, which is really cool. And even though it is just bottles I think it's cool how I can feel vibes through this simple yet effective photo. Great work!

Thank you very much. The abstract look of the bottles, which were facing bottoms up in a cardboard box, really caught my eye. I always have my iPhone ready to capture these things when they pop up. Thank you for your More than Generous rating ~ Steve

TOP, how you been? I have always found it very cool when I see art made out of old bottles. And the title is what caught my eye. And then when I saw the picture I laughed, in a good way . Hope you are staying safe. Thanks and wishing you all the best. John. And I have been working on a few things I can show you if you would like? Thanks John

a very appropriate title Steve and as very often an original idea; almost abstract; excellent lighting and sharp focus with the great details of the glass texture;

signs of the "BAR IS CLOSED!" LOL. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this bottom part of the drinking glasses is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Thanks Troop. The hard part was drinking all this so as to have empty bottles to shoot. That was tough. I always appreciate your reviews. Hope retirement is treating you well my friend ~ Steve
