A beautiful picture of the two Monarch Butterflies sucking nectar from the deep mauve Buddliea / Butterfly flower spike. the red brick wall making a beautiful contrasting backdrop. Beautiful composition, framing 7 lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A very nice shot. The pair of monarchs is shown in beautiful detail and the colors are excellent. I am not crazy about the brick wall and would prefer to see the right side of the flower. Best of luck in the contest.

What a wonderful find,it looks like these two monarchs are both females,posing nicely for you on a butterfly bush flowering spray. The colors are natural,and I like how their colors are repeated in the brickwork behind them. Very well focused with excellent dof and lighting. A great photo for the contest,wish you the best!

Even as Monarch butterflies are seen in urban areas, they usually are easy disturbed and fly away when other creatures including humans come close to them. I guess you were careful and quite. The photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and the refinement of detail. The contradiction of nature with the bricks in the background is interesting. The butterflies are well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
