    When I took my first shot I didn't even know the bug was there! LOL When I discovered it, I tried even harder to nail the focus and lighting on both insect and bug. Thanks for the Great review!

A nice shot of the damselfly in a bit of a sticky situation. The composition is very nice and the detail in both the insect and the sundews is fantastic. Best of luck in the contest.

congratulations in advance: this should be the obvious winner of the contest with this outstanding capture;
your df is very likely a female Northern Damselfly;

    WOW! I don't think you could have said anything kinder in your review. I may not win the contest but I'm incredibly honored you feel I might. I appreciate your letting me know what kind of damselfly this is too! Thanks for the wonderful review!

I found reading your information fascinating. I haven't ever seen these sticky Sundew Plants. It was a lucky find, yet as you say sad to see the Damselfly caught on the sticky tips. Your image is clear and focused and shows the Damselfly very well. The colours are well lit and true to life. The sticky tips are easily viewed and makes this a pleasure to review! All the best in the contest.

Im with you sad, but its life and unfortunately this pretty damsel does not have a second chance. This is a very interesting plant, and this insect shows us that sometimes life is not fair.

A very good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine, full and macro style composition offers us a good look at the tricky situation your damselfly got itself into. Wonder if it managed to escape? Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

    I would love to think this lovely damselfly escaped, but once I discovered it I saw no movement. Even if I released it, I doubt it would have survived with the sticky substance on it. I'm happy that I did get to share the image though. Thanks for the great review!

    This is the first time I've ever seen a damselfly stuck among the sticky bristles. I have seen small snails, ants and flies stuck though I felt lucky and sad to come across this sight at the same time. Thanks for the Great Review!

Cool! That's not only a fine looking photograph but it features delightfully 'Out of the Ordinary' subject matter and it's very enjoyable to have a look at too!
'Good Show',my friend!

    I though I might be lucky to find a small bug trapped but sadly not a damselfly. I think this would be a rare find and was happy but sad to capture it. Thanks for the great review!
