Poor thing! It looks like he is about to throw up. I love his colors and how smooth they look. Does the open beak mean he is cold? We had a robin's nest up next to the brick of the house and she would have her beak open because she was so hot. Different strokes? You have a very good photo here. It made me chuckle.

You have indeed pictured this good looking gull well, and I like that you have gone in close when the photo was taken. The light is falling on the bird in such a lovely way, and it is standing out from the background in an excellent way.
The photo is nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and the exposure is very good.
The framing is very good and the gull has got a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo Nikman, and with an excellent DOF.

fantastic capture...brilliantly composed..the white of the seagull is going so well with the greyish background..the pebbles on the right add the desired punch..with his mouth open the bird is looking really good..keep sharing

Very cool image of this gull. Nice capture of the squawking action. Good focus on the head, eye and beak. Did you know that the red spot on the beak is for the chicks to aim /attract them in order to get food from the parent?

I thought I wrote a review on this one a few minutes ago. Anyway I like the exposure for the white plumage and the crisp detail in the eye and face. Nicely composed with natural looking colors.

A beautiful picture of this squawking Herring Gull it's eye fixed in the shallows as the water rises & recedes for something edible while doing what most gulls do announcing it's presence.
