The expression of this Eagle is stunning. The bird looks as if in thoughts. The eye seems almost human. A philosopher thinking. The photo is well focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I appreciate the sharpness of detail and the realism of color. The shallow background emphasizes the bird. The Eagle is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

I really like all the golden hues in this portrait of a hawk, and I like the close and personal approach. I especially like how lovely the light is falling on the bird, and also how well it is standing out from the softened background.
The photo is sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is perfect.
The photo is nicely cropped and the bird has got a fine placement off to the left. A truly beautiful and well taken photo Eileen, and with an excellent DOF.
