This is a truly pretty plant Allan, and the pink colors indeed stand out well against the rainy softened background. I especially like how well we can see all the small droplets on the plant, and that it is actually easy to see that it is raining.
The photo is really sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the plant, and the exposure is spot on.
I also like the format you have cropped the photo into, and the plant has got a fine placement within the frame. A truly beautiful and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

very cool. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this colorful flower and water droplets is great. the image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.
