If only I could put the same lines together to make a drawing. I just can't do it. You make something that is difficult to do for people like me, look so effortless for the talented artist. Very nice indeed.

So cute. I think you really nail it with your pigeons every time! Seriously, you got them down. I really like how you still added feathers even though it wasn't detailed it sure helped a lot. Good job!

This is a fantastic and simplistic piece done with India ink. I have not figured out how to use the media. I like what you did with it. Thank you so much for sharing.

I draw with the ink the same way I draw with the pencil.
Just go for it, you get better the more you practice.
Take care and be safe.

Julie,
thank you for you time, support and comments on my rendering, L am pleased that you liked it. Simple in the sense of using minimal lines to capture the form of the bird and then the eye.
Take care and be safe.

Jesuel,
Thank you, for your support of my artwork and me, it is greatly appreciated. I like doing these types of drawings were you are trying to show a lot, in this case form a flow to the body, with as few lines as possible.
Stay safe and take care.
Cheers,
Lucien

Great job using india ink. The precision and elegance of this drawing show your confidence in your brushstrokes and ability to perceive figures for painting. I like how the bird dominates the whole page, drawing attention to itself. It's like looking at a logo or symbol of some sort. That arch on the bottom left helps create motion, and helps lead the eye gently throughout the page.

Sometimes less is more and this certainly fits the bill. Your strokes are plain but have movement and depth. They have produced an expression on the owl face with what looks like a suspicious distance. The penwork is precise and it looks every bit an arrogent oriental.

Keep this type of trials on your skills going I think it pays off in the bigger picture. During lockdown I was isolating on a sand barrier island, we could not leave, I lost the inclination to make art until a friend in the UK set me some challenges. The last one was to draw something with a Biro for 20minutes without lifting your pen of paper. Quite liberating. Hers was amazing. Mine rubbish cos I got interrupted after 10 minutes so need to do again. But what am I saying? Well this type of challenge works you especially on those pen, pencil, charcoal strokes.
