Excellent photo of a bald faced hornet nest,I really like the texture you have captured in their nest. Focus and exposure are excellent,nicely centered in your photo. they are rather large wasps,i have some that keep coming to the jelly i have out for the orioles,at least they aren't as miserable as yellow jackets. Very good entry for the contest,i wish you all the best!

A very interest in photograph. You are brave going so close. However this is a rare opportunity for the viewer to see one up close. Its quite intricate. You photo is clear, excellent angle to get that view. Focus very well and crisp capture. There us plenty of texture to see. Good luck. .

Amazing photo....you have composed the shot brilliantly...full view of the nest is very detailed...texture is spot on...I am amazed at the pattern of it... but then this is nature ...the green background is making the pic complete...good luck for the contest

This is an impressive close up. The textures of the nest show exquisitely. Your photo is perfect fo0cused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the sharpness of detail and the realism of color and light. The nest is excellently placed within the frame. The tight framing is sufficient. The composition is balanced.
